FXRISK Manual

Complaint / Dispute Resolution Process

Complaints must be submitted within a defined timeframe and with supporting evidence.

Meaning

This is one of those lines you only notice after it has already cost you money. Translation: the broker is telling you how disputes and edge cases are handled when reality diverges from the brochure.

Why it exists

Contracts allocate risk. This clause exists so the broker can operate through abnormal conditions and limit liability.

How it hurts
  • Assumptions about perfect execution can fail in stress.
  • Outcomes may differ from what you saw on your screen.
  • Without documentation, disputes are difficult.
How to respond
  • Trade smaller in regimes where terms matter most (fast/illiquid windows).
  • Know the broker’s dispute process before you need it.
  • Document screenshots of quotes/spread around the event window, platform logs (if available) and any error messages, a note of the session and whether an event/rollover was in play if an edge case occurs.
Red flag

If you frequently experience ‘edge case’ outcomes, you are likely trading in environments your venue doesn’t handle well.

Notes

Practical discipline

Disputes are won with records, not emotion.

Survival rule: your venue is part of your strategy. If the venue breaks the strategy, change one of them.
